If I could use one word to describe Rachel and Greg’s wedding day at The Stone House at Stirling Ridge, it would be ‘joy.’It was obvious right from their engagement session that their day would be filled with much happiness and emotion. This couple just gets it. They truly let their wedding day unfold naturally and found excitement in every moment. I’ll never forget the look on each of their faces when I told them we were about to do their “First Look.” Complete joy took over their faces and then the tears started when they finally saw each other. Greg’s face says it all. Rachel is his love and vice versa. I wish I could shot this wedding over and over again and watch them see each other for the first time. This was hands down my favorite first look, ever! Rachel and Greg, I wish you all of the best in your new journey as husband and wife!
We were blessed with the most beautiful spring day for Jason and Cortney’s engagement session. The couple decided to visit Duke Farm in Hillsborough NJ for their engagement session and I’m so glad they did! We shot underneath the beautiful lush magnolia trees, some of which are over 100 years old. We visited the greenhouse filled with orchids and of course the giant stone walkways. Shooting their wedding next week at the Basking Ridge County Club will surely be a treat. As you can see from these images their connection is magical and I know their wedding day is going be spectacular!
Shanna and James will be getting married later this month at her grandparents farm in Washington, New Jersey. We stopped by the farm to take some fun photos a couple weeks before the wedding. I am SO EXCITED to shoot this wedding because, 1) this couple is absolutely awesome and their connection is incredible and 2) I can see this beautiful farm from my home. There’s something so special about making these connections with those local in my community. It allows me to really feel a part of the day.
The history of this farm is wonderful and I plan to go into tons of detail with their wedding post. For example, this car they are sitting on, is the car that her grandfather took her grandmother in on their first date!!!
We climbed into the hay loft for some awesome shots.
This beautiful porch is where they will say “I DO” later this month!
