Ellen + Kyryk: Central Park Summer Engagement Session

I had the pleasure of shooting Ellen and Kyryk’s engagement session in the one and only Central Park in New York City. I have in all honesty, had many engagement sessions in Central Park. But it’s amazing to me that as many engagement sessions that I have done here, there is something so special about this park that every single time it feels like it’s the first time. It’s likely because the park just offers the chance for my couples to wander and relax; taking in all the beauty around them. And to be perfectly honest, Ellen and Kyryk’s session was absolute perfection. They so effortlessly strolled about the park, taking their time to enjoy their session and chat with me about their relationship and their big day. If possible, I try to wait to find out how my couple met.. and also how their proposal happened. I just feel like those are two huge milestone moments in their lives and it’s so much nicer to chat in person vs. a phone call. It’s such a personal moment, and I feel like it deserves that face to face chat to share their story with me. As we were chatting, E + K shared with me that they met dancing. Not just any dancing, they were ballet dancers, who met when they were young while dancing for the Princeton Ballet. She was Marie in the Nutcracker and he the Prince. I mean, stop. I love it all. They shared with me beautiful pictures of their time dancing together and my jaw just dropped. Their love story would bring them together and keep their together and thus Kyryk proposed to Ellen and the rest is… history. They will be getting married in 2023 at the MAGNIFICENT Mansion at Natirar in Peapack Gladstone, NJ surrounded by their family and friends. Ellen and Kyryk, thank you for choosing me to capture this incredible time in your lives. I’m truly honored.

I must also mention their amazing wedding planner, Sarah of Honey Comb and Prince, who brought this lovely couple to me and I’m so looking forward to working with on their big day!
